Lonely At The Top  A's play some Billy (Martin) Ball, avoid sweep in Texas, and take sole possession of first place in the AL West. Two double-steals and four Emil Brown RBIs fill out the highlight reel. And Pathetics Nation deserves all the credit.

What a hoser, eh?
Well, the good news is that we might actually have enough pitching that when he konks out again we might be okay. I doubt, though, that Smith and Eveland can keep on posting 3ish ERAs all year.

The pitching has remained fairly decent, but with absolutely PATHETIC offense, this current losing streak has no end in sight.
