Pathetics Nation is an Oakland A's blog. Here, there's none of that "In Billy We Trust" bullshit.
And we won't try to sell you any T-shirts, either. (We don't need to--we have real jobs.)
We love the A's, but we tell it like it is. The Anti-Blez Pathetics Nation founder

Pathetics Nation Fun Fact
Sad but true: The T-shirt salesman who runs Athletics Nation also runs fan websites for the Los Angeles Angels, the Texas Rangers, the Seattle Mariners, and even the San Francisco Giants--all teams that REAL A's fans hate with a passion.

Big Win. It seems like we tried to lose it, but Street got the job done. Watched it live at 5am on SkyPerfecTv. That was rough.
Glad to see Swisher and Big Frank hit a couple of HRs. Did you see Zito was the 1st out to shake Zito's hand? Maybe he's happy to have one last run here...
By the way, Fletch, are you familiar with the Slingbox? It's a product that allows you to watch TV on a PC. I have a Slingbox in the Bay Area and can watch the A's here in Japan. Works well.
AB---actually, yes, my buddy in the Bay Area set one up, and gave me the long in info. I need to set his up to Tivo all A's games, because I always seem to forget to watch via Slingbox.
Thanks for the reminder though, that will make life easier. At least for my last 11 days here.
Seriously, 11 days is soon. I've got to spend 2 years in LA getting MBA'd, then who knows after that. I plan on coming back for holidays (winter, spring, etc.). Hopefully I'll return again long term in the future.
I've got friends visiting right now, and they brough the Sports section from July 2nd CCTimes. Its got an article titled "Moke-ka! Moke-ka!" about Macha's time here as a player. It's Classic. They tried to get him to sign it at a game in Oakland, but he wouldn't. F him!
At least I'm going to the final series in Anaheim, I've been working on my beligerence. No one in Red will be safe.
I'll probably have a couple of last hurrahs in Roppongi in my last week and a half.

Pathetic Glossary
The AAA's: What we call the A's when they play like a bunch of chumps and lose.
Beano: Billy Beane, the AAA's General Manager, a lifetime .219 hitter who now assembles teams that consistently collapse in the postseason.
"Beaned Again": A euphemism for "Fucked By Beano Again," usually uttered after another postseason elimination or mind-numbingly bad off-season trade.
AN: Athletics Nation, aka Asslickers Nation, a Beano propoganda blog, for "fans" who think simply making it to the playoffs--not actually winning it--is good enough.
PN: Pathetics Nation, an intelligent parody of AN.
Asslicker: Anyone who visits AN regularly.
The T-shirt salesman: Our satirical nickname for the self-appointed ruler of Athletics Nation.

I take full responsiblity for today's win. It takes dedication to get up at 5AM to watch Fat Joe pitch.
Fletch deserves full credit for today's victory.

Only 11 days left? Bummer.
Will you be returning eventually?
