little off topic, but what's you guys' general opinion on Joe Morgan? I can't help but notice you prominintely display a quote of his bashing moneyball on the front page...I pray that you, like any intelligent A's fan, think Joe Morgan is a blithering idiot?

Yeah, that's a healthy view of things. No one's perfect, and Billy Beane is no exception. Joe Morgan thinks Billy Beane is a giant baseball hating computer who doesn't appreciate players like Tony Perez and sits around waiting for the three run homer.

I lost all respect for Beano when he and the team announced that the A's could not afford to sign Tejada.

One year later, they signed Chavez (aka "Senor Choke") to the same amount of money they couldn't afford to pay Miguel--$11 million per year for six seasons.

That's what we call "Beaned Again."
