HURTS

SO BAD

Thomas marks his return to Chicago with a couple of big bangs, but bullpen blows it. Macha's brain remains MIA.

Crosby also goes deep. Zito dominates, but gets nothing for it. Kendall proves to be just as inept at stealing bases as he is at hitting home runs.

Or maybe not.

On a bad day (ahead 4-2 going into the 8th), Macha overmanages with the bullpen and the team loses it in the 10th.

On a worse day (being one-hit by the Giants), Macha doesn't manage at all.

See a pattern here?

Actually, oober, you've got it backwards.
