The worst thing to ever happen to the A's--and to A's fans--happened today.

I feel as though I have lost one of my dearest friends.

I'd like to believe that Bill King would have gotten a kick out of Pathetics Nation.

More likely, though, he would have found me to be pathetic!

It sure will be strange listening to games next year, and not having him in the booth.
