Open Thread: Game 82 - AAA's at Toronto
By The Anti-Blez on Tuesday, July 05, 2005
The second half of the season begins with an all-new look at Pathetics Nation.
Unfortunately, the Pathetics themselves have the same old look. Same mediocre players, same overrated GM, same minuscule payroll, same blind faith in Moneybawl, and same dumbass fans who think that that maybe, just maybe the team can win 20 games in a row and that'll put 'em right back in the Wild Card Race.
Whatever, asslickers.
Let's Go AAA's!

Oobergoober is just envious that she didn't get mentioned by name in the glossary.
Beaned Again!
Yeah, I saw the T-shirt salesman had another "intervirew" with Beane. All those fan-type questions getting asked and answered. It's a really lovefest between those two.
It's an interview packed with such hard-hitting questions as "Billy, I have a Kotsay jersey. Just tell me you'll resign him." (Hey, wait a minute, that isn't even a QUESTION!)
I'll bet you'll never catch Susan Slusser or Steve Jenkins or Ray Ratto making such ASSinine comments. That's because they are REAL journalists, not wannabe shills.
The T-shirt salesman is the JEFF GANNON of baseball writers!
Personally, I prefer to read interviews conducted by professional journalists who don't have a hidden agenda.
Judging from very little time that elapsed between the time I addressed oobergoober and the time she replied to my post, it's obvious she monitors this site carefully and frequently.
She's Just a little lonely and obssessed, probably...
Regarding your question about the BBQ, oober, the answer is, "Not intentionally, and not immediately."
Though, a sharp-minded person should be able to figure it out (though I don't expect too many sharp-minded people to be in attendance).
First, I won't be wearing one of the T-shirt salesman's "In Billy We Trust" shirts (though I will be wearing an AAA's cap).
Second, I won't rush up to the T-shirt salesman (or any of his closest bitches) to fawn over him and beg for an autograph.
And finally, I won't be alone. The very close friend who helped me get the ticket will also be there. Yeah, he's an Asslicker, but he doesn't buy into the T-shirt salesman's Beano bullshit 100 percent (though he HATES this site and has asked me to stop it).
I'll probably leave a bit earlier than most of the folks, and sometime during the event I'll eventually walk up to the T-shirt salesman, tap him on the shoulder, politely introduce myself and then say, 'BEANED AGAIN!"
See ya soon, oobergoober.
I do hope you have a good evening, too. And that the AAA's win.
Eric Chavez = Rally Killer
The AAA's don't deserve to win this game.
Crosby (the ONLY decent player on the AAA's) is single-handedly TRYING to win the game, but Ricky Ricardo Rincon is doing his usual best to blow any hope of victory.
Nick Swisher just forgot he has a .238 career batting average.
The T-shirt salesman today referred to the .500 mark as "that magic plateau."
Magic?
What is that guy smokin'?
Manute Bol!
Hah! Good one, FB!
Marco Scutaro = Rally Killer
Bring 'em on!
