Open Thread: Game 78 - Seattle vs. AAA's
By The Anti-Blez on Thursday, June 30, 2005
Oakland goes for a series sweep. Too bad it's against the Submariners, one of only three teams in the AL whose records are even worse than the AAA's.
Let's Go AAA's!
Let's Go AAA's!

You're totally right.
And, like me, I know you want the AAA's to do well. They are indeed on a nice little run, and if they had another nine games against the Seamen, the GiAAnts and the RoyAAls before the All-Star Break, then they'd have a shot at being at or (gasp) above .500 at the break.
But with six of the next nine games against the Chisux, the AAA's are more realistically going to finish the first half 4 or 5 games under .500.
June has been a great month for Oakland. But the rest of the season won't be filled with games against fourth-place division "rivals" and interleague weenies.
Until the AAA's are over .500, and stay there, I will continue to rightfully call them the "AAA's" (or worse).
