Open Thread: Game 71 - AAA's at Seattle
By The Anti-Blez on Wednesday, June 22, 2005
The AAA's have a chance to climb out of last place (by a few percentage points) tonight.
Unfortunately, they also have Barry Zito (3-8, 4.66 ERA) on the mound.
Let's Go AAA's!

Make that THREE BB's who are despised by Pathetics Nation:
Billy Beane
Bret Boone
Barry Bonds
I'll add a fourth BB to the list:
Buttkisser Blez
Has that guy ever done an interview in which he HASN'T kissed the hairy ass of his subject?
You'd think a guy who fantasizes about being a major-league baseball journalist would ask HARDBALL questions, and not all those SOFTBALL ones. Geez...
I'll tell you one BB who won't be in the ballpark:
Beano.
If you've read Moneybawl, you'll know that Beano is--by his own admission--too nervous to simply sit in the ballpark and watch a game.
Makes me feel real confident in his ability to general-manage a team.
Bottom of the 7th, and Barry Zito is pitching well enough to lose.
Nice...
Eric Chokevez chokes again in the clutch.
Macha the Moron lets Ricky Ricardo Rincon close.
Tie ball game.
Beaned again!
By the way, OoberGoober...
We know who you really are! (IP tracking is a wonderful thing!)
Just wondering if you've also figured out our new username at Asslickers Nation?
Yes, oobergoober, it's sad. Very, very sad.
Boo-hoo-hoo.
Let's Go AAA's!
Of course you don't.
Nor do we.
I guess the answer, though, is no. You haven't figured out our new username (actually, usernames) at Asslickers Nation.
That's OK. If you're going to the Asslickers Nation Day at the Coliseum, we'll introduce ourselves in person to you there.
The AAA's had a chance to climb out of the cellar tonight.
And they failed, big time.
I suspect they will lose again tomorrow, leaving Seatlte with a split and back to 10 games under .500.
What an utter waste of time this ballclub has become.
